Merhaba! (thats hello in Turkish)
I'm in New York right now, visiting with family and getting some last minute photo gear, but mostly just enjoying American TV and food until the last possible moment. I'm probably not going to use this site for writing about my adventures too often and don't worry I wont be telling you how I feel about being surrounded by a foreign culture, instead I'm going to try and post one photo every day that I think will give you a general picture of what its like in Istanbul. Maybe I'll give a short description, but don't count on it. When something really worthy of making the effort to write about comes along I'll put in the effort to make it worth your time reading it. For the extensive albums containing the countless number of photos I will be taking you can check out my page on flickr.com, I'll post a link when I set it up. As you can see I started it off with a self portrait; thats the Turkey book Sarah got for me, and in the other hand is my baby, a Canon XTi, both will be with me 24/7. Feel free to leave comments on this site, I'll be happy to hear from you.

Be well!
